Wind Singer Series

Hey Guys! Wow, it's been a long long time! Well I'm glad to inform y'all that the latest series I've read have been the Wind Singer series by William Nicolson. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Amazing trilogy packed with adventure, suspense and of-course...some romance for the girls chucked in! But never fear boys for this series has plenty of quests and for the adults a little bit of power and politics so good for all ages! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I myself found it rather like the Hunger Games but older because it was more past set instead of the modern technology that Suzanne Collins used. I think that these books where very vivid and for those who enjoyed it- just truly amazing and un-putdownable... if that where a word! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I think the best book is probably FireSong which I am still currently reading but so very near the end! Eye catching and the suspense just keeps on coming and you know I've never read a book so cleverly placed and you can fit the pieces together so well! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hope You've all read alot over the christmas holidays and I'll be back hopefully very soon... My sister lives on the Mantle piece.
Me just now (6:45 oclock 5.5.2012)
THE MOST AMAZING EASTER EGG!
Me in my favorite dress... I swear you can see a mark from where my sis was drawing a mustache XD
So I ow you guys my latest book review.
My sister Lives on the mantel piece (includes spoilers)
This book was a deep but funny book. I was quite alarmed when I found out that 10 year olds know so many swear words and rude words. I think it was funny at times and very sad at times. Sunya  (the girl characture) was a lovely girl and I think the dad was very dramatic in the parents evening actors. This book did make me cry especially when the cat (Roger) dies and the main characture realises that he does love the dad and that they are the same. I think it is your realistic book and that it is based on true snipets of different stories. It is a very discriptive book and I think that in one word I'd call it moving. Out of 5 stars I'd give it a 4 because some drifted a bit and you couldn't tell where flash backs were but it was very good.
Sorry its short.. Pottermore :D Add meh I'm RainMoon16887
Childrens Book award
Sky Hawk WON! YAY! I knew they would :P It was competition but I think she deserved it.
I think it was a great book and that she really had a good background story to it.
I'm not sure about Devine Freaks it was strange but good. I think the truth cookie sounds like a good book though.
Operation eiffel tower. A deep book that reflects on the authors past so I liked it like that.
Well, I need to go now :( More news later though.
KEEP READING :)
Hunger Games- A new found Obsession
You may have to zoom in on the page or use a magnifine if you can't read it.
Hey Guys the picture above is just a random picture I did, but let me just say that Josh Hutcherson is in my opinion so cute :P and fit in both ways, yes he's gorgeous but he also have huge abs :) But anyway you can comment different.
The Actual review:
What do you think of the books?
I think that the books are just so amazing! I have only read the first and I will edit it later when I have read them all but I think the word amazing pretty much sums them up. Great discription and intesity. The way it always kept you thinking, putting pieces together and on the edge of your seat really helped to make an excellently written book. I also like the fact file in some cover changing books with great illistraision. I think that Peeta really does fancy Katniss as you can tell from the end but I won't say too much just incase. I have heard the second is better and who knows how brilliant the last is? The point is the first was so good I'll be surprised if she can match it.
What do you think the films will be just as good?
Well, I believe that films are not as good as the actual books because books contain more infomation where as the films usually cut out some parts and put in random things. I can't wait though because on the official release day I am able to go and whatch it with the school book club.
Was the first film good?
AMAZING! Fenominal. It was the best film I've ever seen. It was sad, made me cry a bit but it was good. At the end I actually felt sad for Cato :( I felt sorry for him. Anyway the next film is out this November or maybe next november I can't remember!
Was the Second Book good?
Finally Finished it and it was truley amazing. The last sentance, Cinna, the dresses everything. By the way don't read the last sentance first like I did or you'll mess up the third one! I wish that it was more than 3 books but its not. Good read and just amazing really. New charictures too :D.
Was the second film good?
Was the Third book good?
Harry Potter- Good or Great?
Well...
For 2 years or so I was OBSESSED with Harry Potter :D but don't worry, you won't offend me.
So anyway... Is it Good or Great, Bad or Aweful?
Comment on what you think :)
Why do I like Harry Potter so much?
I love HP because it feels like your watching all the action and its even more real with quidditch. I think its so vivid I could be there! I also love the style that she uses to write the books and the way she describes the charictures and although magic can be dangerous she still fits in comedy check out this clip
Yeah so anyways, I think this clip is clever because it combines the wizard world  and the muggle worlds; because Voldermort hates muggles so he died with revenge mwahaha!
What do you think of the series?
I think that the series is really interesting and clever because they all link and keep recovering old parts of the previous books. One of the best parts is where they are De-Gnoming the garden and I think this was one of the best bits. I think that at times when they where just talking they could ave used some more description but apart from that it was amazing.
Philosiphers Stone: I was freaked out at times when Harry fort He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named because of the fact Harry could kill him by touch. I loved it when they first met Prof. Trelauny (spelling) and liked the tea leaves but I also loved the broom stick and how he becomes seeker especially with Malfoy.
Chamber of Secrets: well this one was interesting. It was definatley very descriptive and I have to say one of the best parts was the troll in the dungeon and the way Snape was there with the cut and the fire in the first it made him sound bad and then I had a real surprise at the end.
Prisoner of Azkaban: I have to admit I was kind of confused when he didn't find HWMNBN (Voldemort) but I think I loved Sirius from when they met, I felt sorry for him but I loved the way his name links with his Anigma. I could say loads on all these books but I'll just say snipets
Goblet of Fire: This was by far my favorite because there was so much action! The dragon was marvolous, the lake was witty and the maze was fenominal!!! I have to say that the ending took away my breath and I was feeling scared for Harry but knew he could do it with loved spirits help. I also liked the way they introduced Mad-Eye.
Order of the Pheonix: I like this one because you get to meet so many new charictures. I felt really scared when they where battling the deatheaters and boy do I hate Bellatrix now!  I just couldn't believe that she could kill her own cousin. As most good books do this one made be cry because of the intensity and then not being able to abandon Sirius from my mind. After all who can forget that time turner or the Griffin?
Half-Blood prince: Well, I did enjoy meeting SlugHorn and a year later I'm having dreams about him and the horrible hag Umbridge. I was really pleased to see that flame didn't get blown out and that J.K had managed to fit in yet more adventure! The locket really got me and I was so surprised ut when Dumbledore got killed I then cryed Again. I felt so sorry for him and if it wasn't because I knew Snape did it for a reason I'd be very distraught.
Deathly Hallows: I admit now that at the end of the Half-Blood Prince I thought she wouldn't fit the horcruxes into one book but upon discovering that some of the recovered artifacts from the previous books had contained them I realised that her smartness is far greater than mine. It was eye catching, alerting and specifically an I-can-not-put-it-down book. I remember hiding under my sheets trying to read it with my phone without mum knowing! I was most upset when Dobby died and remember mum coming in to say goodnight and I tried to hide it, knowing somone for 6 years and then dies isn't the most pleasent but atleast all the friends cried at the same parts I did. I was also very upset when Snape died and we got to see the truth behind this mysterious man and extra from his child hood. After seeing him be bullied and Harry being confused I definatley felt upset. The end was dramatic and I can't really put this into word really. Mind blowing. The fact Molly Weasly actually battles Bellatrix and swears at the top of her voice actually made me laugh alot. When it was all over I couldn't believe I'd never see HP again until the ast film was released. One of my favorite parts was the wedding with the warning and the 7 Harry's. O poor Hedwick.
What did you think of the films?
Well I have to say I was upset that the fact they didn't include the De-Gnoming and skip some parts but then we got to see some extras which I thought was great. The graphics where literally Magical and I can't really describe the make up artists work. Apparently they got through like 700 pairs of glasses through films or something. Anyway Great films and books.
What else?
When Hogwarts Orlando Resort was released I begged and begged but unfortunatley I haven't been yet :( but hopefully one day.
I heard from my friend they where going to close it next year-2013-but I'm not sure because now they've joined with Disney Land or something.
Thanks to first news I have been able to learn that J.K was thinking about killing Ron! I mean, how rude! I saw an edited version of the heart book on the first post which said "When you finish a new book and there isn't a next you feel like you've lost a close friend," or something along those lines and I though- So True!
Well Guys watch out for more soon
Rosie x
PS. GREAT!
Hey book lovers
Hey people!
This is a new website where you can discuss your best books, read reviews, decide what books are better and help others to pick a book.
The first thing I want to talk about is Solihull Children's Book Award (scba). Every year one school is chosen to pick 2 students to present the award and last year me and my friend did, best book moment ever! Anyway, there is a short list for all the books they want to nominate and at the end 3 are chosen. Then, some schools in Solihull to vote and then goto the awards to meet the authors dur in school time. Then finally they annonce the winner. Its super fun and you get to read some awesome books!
So comment: This year my book vote would go to (Divine Freak/Operation Eiffel tower/Sky Hawk) out of the 3 books nominated this year 2012.
Thats all for today
